Royal Albert Memorial Museum

This large project was under taken to repair and restore the main elevations of the museum. The project involved stone cleaning, conservation, repairs, replacement and repointing. The works were carried out in a city centre location and the museum remained open during the works. A variety of stones including Bath and Ham Hill Limestone, together with Devon red sandstones and local volcanic stone from the Exeter area all needed various conservation works and in some areas replacement where severe erosion had occurred.
